Veiled Depressions explores the vantage points of subject and object. The performer lies horizontally on the floor in a black box theatre space, surrounded by black velvet curtains. The artist is draped with a blanket of 5,000 quilter pins. Five beaded veils hang attached to the velvet curtains, suspended above the performers body. The audience sits on the floor around the performer but has the ability to stand and walk around the performer, allowing them the privaledge to rise above and outside of the same space as the artist. The duration of the piece is flexible, ranging from 1 hour to several hours in length.
